Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that OL Myniya Smith has been added to the roster. Smith, 6-6 350, is an AFL-Veteran with NFL experience.
Smith finished his collegiate career at Sothern University in 2004 earning 1st Team All-Conference Honors after he started in 37 consecutive games.
In 2005, Smith made his professional debut with the New York Giants and was released towards the end of training camp. The following season, Smith earned a spot on the Giants' practice squad.
Smith's AFL career started in 2007 with the Blaze and was re-signed the following season to Utah's roster.
Although the lineup for this weekend's game has not been determined, Smith will be eligible to play. Friday night the Shock will open up playoff action with the Arizona Rattlers at 7 PM.
