Spokane Shock News Release

May 25, 2007- The Spokane Shock announced today that DB James Todd has been assigned to their 2007 roster by the league office. Todd, 6'0" 180, recently graduated from Baylor University (2007) after earning four varsity letters as a cornerback. As a redshirt freshman, Todd played all 11 games-starting six-and recorded 16 tackles, five pass break-ups and one interception. In his four-year career at Baylor, Todd compiled 82.5 tackles, 22 pass break-ups (two shy of Baylor's career record) and five interceptions.

Todd will start in this weekend's game against the Central Valley Coyotes in place of the suspended Nygel Rogers. Rogers will serve a one-game suspension this week and will be eligible to play on June 2nd against the Everett Hawks.

In another roster move, the Shock placed DB/WR Darnell Hood on recallable reassignment and placed LB Wyatt Gayer on reassignment.

The Coyotes (4-3) and the Shock (4-3) are currently in a five-way tie for first place in the division. Kickoff is at 5:00 PM (PST) on Saturday and will be broadcast live on 105.7 THE BUZZARD and KHQ TV.
