Spokane Shock News Release
December 15, 2009 - Spokane, WA: The Spokane Shock announced today that DB Jason Harmon has been added to the 2010 roster.
Harmon, 6-0 200, is an AFL veteran who spent the 2007 and the 2008 seasons with the Colorado Crush. During those two seasons, he tallied 115 tackles including two interceptions. Harmon was also used on special teams, racking up 1,743 yards (including 1,010 in 2007 - ranked fifth in the league) with a touchdown as a kick returner.
"Jason Harmon has the experience, the athleticism and the hunger that we are looking for," Head Coach Rob Keefe explained. "Physically, he is an imposing presence on the field - he hits like a linebacker but he runs like a receiver. When you combine his physical abilities, with his football instincts you have a talented player. "
Prior to his professional career, Harmon played 41 games for Michigan State, collecting 285 career tackles, nine interceptions and 18 pass break-ups for the Spartans.
