Danbury Hat Tricks News Release

DANBURY - In an offensive showcase for the Danbury Hat Tricks, Carter Shinkaruk shined, netting a trio of goals in a 5-0 rout.

Shinkaruk started the night with a lethal move in close, deking Rumble Bees netminder Morgan Hudson for a quick goal 1:41 into play. He added to the Hat Tricks lead minutes later, banging home a rebound in a netmouth scramble.

Later in the first period, Cory Anderson redirected a shot from the blueline to put the Hat Tricks on top 3-0. The initial shot earned Danbury head coach Billy McCreary his first point as a player, credited with a primary assist.

Anderson potted a powerplay goal early in the second period, snapping a shot from between the hashmarks. Shinkaruk would complete the hat trick before period's end, once more converting on a rebound from a Billy McCreary perimeter shot.

Dillon Kelley would turn aside 23 shots in the win, earning his first shutout with the team.
