Sheehan and Higgins Play Hockey with YCARE Kids

Mississippi RiverKings Goaltender Garrett Sheehan and Defenseman Sam Higgins Visit YCARE

"The RiverKings have such a great community impact and know that health is a top priority in the lives of these kids," Youth and Family Program Director Caitlyn Hutchins said. "The campers had such a blast learning about hockey from the players and having the opportunity to play themselves. Thank you to the RiverKings for taking the time to join us!"

Sam Higgins and Garrett Sheehan taught the basic fundamentals of hockey, including how to properly hold a hockey stick and how to perform a slapshot and wrist shot. After they taught fundamentals, the kids were split into two teams for a game. The visit concluded with an autograph session with Sheehan and Higgins.

The RiverKings return to Concorde Career College Ice at the Landers Center on Sunday, December 27 at 3:05 p.m. for the team's first Pay What You Can Night. All seats start at a minimum $2 anywhere in the building and can be purchased by calling 662-342-1755.
