SharX Look to Extend Win Streak on Sunday

Norfolk, Virginia - The Norfolk SharX will play for their third consecutive win on Sunday when they host the Baltimore Blast on Sunday, February 26 at Norfolk Scope Arena at 2 p.m. For the second straight match, the SharX will be facing a No. 1 team - the Blast stand in first place in the Eastern Division and have clinched the Division title. Norfolk and Baltimore have met four times this season with Baltimore leading the series 3-1. The SharX stunned the Blast on January 12 with a 17-12 win at Scope.
The SharX (5-17) are making great strides towards the end of the season winning their last two games - over Syracuse 21-17 on February 14 and MISL No. 1 Milwaukee 14-13 on February 19. Norfolk is led by forward Matt Clare, #15 in the league with 45 points, followed by Miguel Ferrer, #20 in the league with 41. Clare has scored 12 points in the last two games including two goals and two assists against Milwaukee and a hat trick against Syracuse.
Baltimore (15-6) is 1-2 in their last three games and is coming off a 17-13 win over Milwaukee on February 18. The team lost to Missouri 18-9 on February 10 and to Milwaukee 22-8 on February 4. The Blast is led by forward Machel Millwood (fourth in MISL) with 63 points and Max Ferdinand (seventh in MISL) with 57. Millwood is the reigning MISL Player of the Week for his hat trick over Milwaukee.
Sunday's match is a "RED OUT" match and will benefit the American Heart Association with a portion of every ticket sold going to the Association. All fans wearing red will be in the running to participate in the shootout with Chum at halftime. Red shirts will be available at the match for a $15 donation to the AHA. Bring your drums, noisemakers and friends!
On Sunday, March 4, the SharX will host the Wichita Wings at 2 p.m. at Scope. This match will benefit the Alzheimer's Association and Norfolk will be wearing special uniforms for this match!!! Tickets are on sale now.
