Jack Roberts went 2-4 as the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (2-0) took home a 7-3 victory over the Torrington Titans (1-2) at Vineyard Baseball Park on Monday.
He singled in the second and fifth innings.
The Torrington Titans couldn't get anything going so long as Nick Fuller was on the hill. The Torrington Titans managed just one hit off of Fuller, who allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out nine during his six innings of work.
Connor Landers was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked four and struck out two.
