Sharks Front Office Prefers Parking Lot Cuisine

Wilmington Sharks News Release

Wilmington is known for its food. People travel from all over the country to fill their bellies with delicacies coming from kitchens off Front Street, in Monkey Junction, or from across the bridge in Leland. Despite conventional food being readily available, members of the Wilmington Sharks front office prefer to eat food they find in parking lots.

Are they foolish? Maybe. Are they drifters? Unconfirmed. Perhaps you can find comfort in knowing that Pat, Alyson, Tom, and Carson are not alone. According to an unnamed source, nearly 2.5 billion people eat from the parking lot every day in America.

"I'll eat anything I can get my hands on if you cover it in Ranch dressing", says Carson Bowen, Director of Baseball Operations, sauce critic, and amateur saucier.

When asked about why he prefers to eat parking lot food, Director of Community relations Tom Lamont said "I can't believe there are actually people out there who go through all the trouble to get dressed up, pay for valet parking, and make reservations 5 months in advance just to get food that isn't nearly as good as what they're serving out of food trucks."

"Nothing builds community like standing in a parking lot, sharing a burrito with a new friend," says Pat Hutchins. "It's not every day you can eat food from a world class chef while being exposed to the elements."

On 11 nights this summer, you can join the feeding frenzy with these far-from-foolish Sharks. Here is a list of which food trucks will be appearing at Buck Hardee Field this summer:
