In game one, Austin Parsley gave up three runs in four innings of work. He retired the first seven hitters and nine of the first ten hitters he faced. After the Sharks left the bases loaded in the first inning of game two, Cam Jenson hit a one out triple in the second. Tilo Skole followed with a single to score him and give the Sharks a 1-0 lead. The Sharks then loaded the bases for Cory Everett. Everett became the second Sharks player to hit a grand slam this season, blowing the game open. Chad Fairey then drew a walk, stole second for the second time in the game, advanced to third on a wild pitch, and scored on a groundout by Clemente Inclan making it 6-0 Sharks.
Brandon Talley hit a solo home run in the bottom of the inning to make it 6-1. The Sharks then added another run in the fourth on a sacrifice fly by Fairey to go up 7-1. Talley singled in the bottom half and came in to score on a single by KC Brown making it 7-2.
The Sharks batted around for a second time in the sixth, scoring four more runs to go up 11-2. Alex Fenton threw five innings in his start on the mound for the Sharks. In addition to the two runs, he gave up six hits and struck out three.
