Sioux Falls Storm News Release
The Sioux Falls Storm returned to action Sunday afternoon as they played host to the Green Bay Blizzard. Coming off a bye week, the Storm cruised to an 86-42 victory, improving to 5-0 on the season, while the Blizzard fall to 0-5.
Tyler Knight led the charge on defense, collecting 12 tackles, and two sacks. As a team the Storm defense held the Blizzard to 269 total yards, forced one fumble, and collected two interceptions.
Storm quarterback Chris Dixon looked to be back to his usual self during Sunday's game. Dixon showed off his arm strength and accuracy as he aired it out for 191 yards on 17-26 passing while collecting five touchdowns. Dixon also managed to pick up 51 yards, and one touchdown on the ground.
The receiving core for the Storm was led Sunday by James Terry and Michael Johnson. The two wide outs combined for a total of 103 yards and four touchdowns.
Tory Harrison proved Sunday that he is a serious threat whenever he is on the field. Harrison gashed the Blizzard kickoff team for 120 yards and two TD returns. Tory also recorded 69 yards on the ground, collecting one touchdown, and 49 yards through the air.
The Storm return to action Saturday, April 12th as they travel to Green Bay in a rematch of Sunday's game against the Blizzard. Kick off is set for 7:00 pm. For more information go to www.siouxfallsstorm.com.
