Colorado Crush News Release

Fort Collins, CO - The Colorado Ice effectively control the ball to beat the Nebraska Danger 38-30, limiting the Danger to their 72 yards, their lowest yardage total of their history.

The first half began with a touchdown by receiver Kyle Kaiser (8) early in the game followed by two from running back Dennis Kennedy (7). The Danger were able to answer back with almost every possession in the first half. This included touchdowns from Rainer Rackley (11), Jacob Payne (23) and quarterback Cody Kirby (17). The Ice were able to maintain the lead 24-21 in the first half thanks to major defensive pressure by the Ice, specifically Dequinta Jones (90) and a sack by Chancey Aghayere (95).

The Ice started off the second half with an impressive interception by Harcourt Farquarson (5) in which he leaped over the wall and caught the ball in the stands. This established the tempo for the rest of the game as the defense continued to perform at an elite level. This included a sack by newly signed lineman Jason Jones (90) and a blocked pass by Farquarson (5). The defense also had the help of the 12th man - the Colorado Ice fans to create some crowd noise, which contributed to at least one offsides penalty against the Danger offense.

Despite a touchdown that resulted from a fumble recovery by the Danger and a field goal the Ice continued to maintain the offensive tempo for the game including Kennedy (7) having his third touchdown of the game along with Jasonus Tilley (88) having an 18-yard touchdown pass.

The Colorado Ice travel to Wyoming to take on the Cavalry Friday, April 4th. The next home game will be Sunday, April 13th against the Tri-Cities Fever.

The Colorado Ice are proud members of the Indoor Football League (IFL).
