
Seven SF Bulls Invited to Worcester Training Camp

SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. - The San Francisco Bulls Professional Hockey Team, proud affiliate of the San Jose Sharks, announced today that forwards Brett Findlay, Kris Belan, Christian Ouellet Danick Paquette and Luke Judson, defenseman Josh Kidd, and goaltender Tyler Beskorowany will participate in Worcester Sharks Training Camp, beginning Monday, September 23. Worcester is the Bulls' AHL affiliate.
"Having seven players begin the season at an AHL camp shows the high quality of talent we can expect on our team this season," said SF Bulls President and Head Coach Pat Curcio. "Furthermore, our relationship with the Sharks organization is continuing to strengthen. We hope all seven players perform well at the camp before the start of the season."
Belan, 26, played in his first full professional season with the Bulls in 2012-13. He ranked second on the team with 141 penalty minutes and compiled 21 points (8 goals, 13 assists) in 58 games. The 6-foot, 2-inch, 200-pound Florence, Ontario native was named the Bulls' Top Rookie in 2012-13. Belan also received a call-up to the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL, recording one assist and seven penalty minutes in eight games. He finished second on the team with four points in five playoff games. Belan played in 13 games with the Toledo Walleye in 2011-12, following his five-year career at the University of Guelph. He also played three seasons in the OHL before entering college.
Ouellet, 22, split his rookie season in 2012-13 between the Bulls and Gwinnett Gladiators. With the Bulls, he registered 25 points (9 goals, 16 assists) in 35 regular-season games. He also recorded three assists in five playoff games against Alaska. He collected 37 points (17 goals, 20 assists) in 66 total games last season. The 6-foot, 195-pound, native of Alma, Quebec spent four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL) with the Gatineau Olympiques and Chicoutimi Sagueneens. In 235 QMJHL games, Ouellet recorded 162 points (61 goals, 101 assists).
Findlay, 20, spent the end of the 2012-13 season in San Francisco. The 6-foot, 189-pound, Echo Bay, Ontario native recorded three assists in six regular-season games with San Francisco. In the playoffs, he recorded two assists in five games. In his final season in the OHL, Findlay tallied 46 points (19 goals, 27 assists) in 68 games to lead Peterborough in points and tie for the lead in goals. In 2011-12, Findlay had a taste of the pro level, registering six points (2 goals, 4 assists) in 11 playoff games with the Fort Worth Brahmas of the Central Hockey League. Findlay totaled 146 points (59 goals, 87 assists) in 193 career OHL games with the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds and Peterborough.
Beskorowany, 23, enters his fourth year of professional hockey. The 6-foot, 5-inch native of Sudbury, Ontario was selected in the second round, 59th overall, in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft by the Dallas Stars. Last season, Beskorowany went 17-12-3 with a 2.78 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage with the Idaho Steelheads of the ECHL. He also went 4-1 in the postseason, helping Idaho to the Conference Finals.
Judson, 22, enters his first year of professional hockey. The 6-foot, 190-pound native of Emo, Ontario played five seasons with the Belleville Bulls of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL) from 2007-12. He captained the team in his final three seasons. Judson set a career-high in points in 2010-11 with 56 points, including 28 assists. In 267 career games with Belleville, Judson totaled 167 points (87 goals, 80 assists) and 266 penalty minutes. Last season, Judson produced 27 points (15 goals, 12 assists) in 28 games with Lakehead University of the Canadian Interuniversity Sport. He also attended San Jose Sharks Prospects Camp.
Kidd, 24, returns to the pro ranks after playing the previous four seasons at the University of New Brunswick. The 6-foot, 4-inch, 220-pound backliner was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the seventh round, 184th overall, of the 2007 NHL Entry draft. Kidd spent parts of two seasons with the American Hockey League's Manchester Monarchs from 2007-09. In 42 games, Kidd produced 10 points (2 goals, 8 assists).
Paquette, 23, was a third-round draft pick, 64th overall, of the Atlanta Thrashers in 2008. He is entering his fifth season of professional hockey. In 2012-13, he split the season between the Hershey Bears of the American Hockey League and the ECHL-champion Reading Royals. The 6-foot, 210-pound Montreal, Quebec native has played in six AHL games between the Chicago Wolves and Hershey. Paquette has totaled 55 points (28 goals, 27 assists) and 466 penalty minutes in 131 career ECHL games with the Gwinnett Gladiators, South Carolina Stingrays, Utah Grizzlies, Chicago Express and Reading. Prior to turning pro, Paquette served as captain of the Lewiston MAINEacs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). He was also named ands alternate captain of the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL in his final season of junior hockey. Paquette amassed 175 points (94 goals, 81 assists) and 691 penalty minutes in 251 career QMJHL games.
