Series Preview: Ice Flyers, Havoc Set to Open Playoffs

The opening round of the 2016 SPHL President's Cup Playoffs kick off tonight as the Ice Flyers host the Huntsville Havoc inside the Pensacola Bay Center at 7:05 p.m. Game Two will be played inside Propst Arena at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, Ala., on Saturday at 7:30 p.m. If needed, the third and deciding game will take place at a neutral site inside the Columbus Civic Center in Columbus, Ga., on Sunday at 5:05 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time. The game will be played in Columbus due to a previously scheduled event at the Pensacola Bay Center.

The Havoc finished the regular season in seventh place in the SPHL standings with a record of 26-26-4.

The Ice Flyers won the regular season series easily going 5-1-1 against Huntsville. Pensacola scored 26 goals in those seven games to Huntsville's 16 to give the Ice Flyers a +10 goal differential.
