Senators even series against Aviators

June 15, 2005 - Central Baseball League (Central League) - Coastal Bend Aviators News Release

ROBSTOWN, Texas -The Coastal Bend Aviators lose game two of the three game homestand against the Jackson Senators 7-1.

Elliot Shaw (1-4) pitched six innings complete, giving up six hits, three runs, all of which were earned. Shaw struck out eight and walked two picking up the loss. Dan Henderson pitched two innings of relief before making way to Brandon Pello in the ninth inning. Pello only managed to record two outs in the ninth, giving up four earned runs off three hits.

Selwyn Langaigne went 4 for 4 with four runs batted in and two runs scored. Langaigne single-handedly played a role in six of the seven Senator runs scored.

Jackson Senator starting pitcher Bo Edmiston improved to 2-2 on the season with the win. Edmiston surrendered one earned run off of four hits and had a no-hitter going through five innings.

The Coastal Bend Aviators Organization will be honoring the Texas State 4-A champions, Calallen Wildcats in-game ceremonies. Thursday night is Thirsty Thursday with draft beer for $1.
