Senators Assign Martin Gerber To Binghamton

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Ottawa Senators assigned today goaltender Martin Gerber to the Binghamton Senators of the American Hockey League.

Gerber, 34, has a 6-6-0 record with a 2.90 goals-against average, a .911 save percentage and one shutout in 13 games this season with Binghamton. He also has four wins, nine losses and an overtime loss in 14 games with Ottawa this season. He has posted a 2.86 goals-against average and .899 save percentage.

In 100 games with Ottawa, Gerber has 49 wins, 36 losses and eight overtime/shootout losses, a .907 save percentage and a 2.76 goals-against average. In 214 career NHL games, he has 104 wins, 73 losses, seven ties, 14 overtime/shootout losses, a .910 save percentage and 2.61 goals-against average.

The B-Sens (31-20-5-3, 70 pts.) continue their march to the Calder Cup playoffs tonight when they take on the Rochester Americans (23-32-0-5, 51 pts.) at 7:05 p.m. at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.
