
Sellout Crowd Sees Rock Cats Lose

New Britain Rock Cats News Release
The Rock Cats lost the rubber game of a 3-game series 3-1 against the New Hampshire Fisher Cats in front of a sellout, 6,729 fans at New Britain Stadium. The Fisher Cats scored a pair of runs against New Britain starter David Bromberg in the third inning. The first run scored on an RBI single by John Tolisano and the second one scored on a wild pitch. The Rock Cats made it a one-run game with a run in the third as Joe Benson ripped an RBI single into left field. New Britain managed just three hits and a run off Fisher Cats starter Deck McGuire who earned his second win of the season. Bromberg was the tough luck loser, allowing 3 runs on 9 hits in 6.2 innings, in his first defeat of the season.
The Rock Cats begin a 3-game weekend series in Reading, PA tomorrow night at 7:05. The game can be heard on AM 1150 WMRD and WLIS AM 1420 and online at www.foxsports1410.com.
