Casper, WY - The Casper Rockies' RHP Robinson Fabian has been named the Pioneer League pitcher of the week for the week of July 31st to August 6th. Fabian is the second Casper starter to earn Pitcher of the Week Honors with Brandon Hynick earning the honor two weeks ago.
Fabian, a 6-3 righty out of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, went 1-0 in two games he started last week. Against the Ogden Raptors on Monday night, he allowed one hit over six frames and picked up his third win of the season. Fabian had to settle for a no-decision on Saturday versus the Idaho Falls Chukars after leaving in the fifth inning with a 1-0 lead. The Rockies eventually won Saturday's game 3-2.
Fabian, signed as a free agent on July 10, 2003, finished the week with a 0.00 ERA, three hits, 0 runs, 0 earned runs, 5 walks and 4 strikeouts.
