Second Annual Teddy Bear Toss This Friday

Fargo (ND) The Fargo-Moorhead Jets Hockey team will be holding their second annual "Air the Bear" Teddy Bear Toss promotion during their home game this Friday night at the Carlson Coliseum.
The FM Jets face the Minnesota Blizzard beginning at 7pm, and fans are encouraged to bring any new -or slightly used- stuffed animals they have to the game. When the FM Jets score their first goal, fans will then throw their stuffed animals on the ice, where they will then be collected and donated to waiting charitable causes.
This season, the FM Jets will be donating the stuffed animals to the local Salvation Army, Dakota Boys Ranch and Ronald McDonald Houses. Last season over 200 bears were collected, and the goal this season is to reach 300 stuffed animals.
Fans should arrive early to guarantee their participation in the event, and one only has to look at last season for an example of why. Last season, during the team's first-ever "Air the Bear" the Jets scored just 3:19 into the game on a Joe Schuster (Grand Rapids, MN) tally.
The FM Jets (17-8-2) are currently in first place in the North American Hockey League's Central Division, with a home games scheduled for both Thursday and Friday this week.
The FM Jets are the 2005 Borne Cup Champions and are in their third season as members of the North American Hockey League. The NAHL is the nation's largest Junior A hockey league and is now in its 30th year of operation.
Jets home games are played at the John E. Carlson Coliseum in Fargo, ND. All games are broadcast on Today's Hot Country 103.9 THE TRUCK and fmjets.com.
