Second Annual Camp Dazzle Basketball School Announced

ROANOKE, Va., April 29, 2003– The 2nd Annual Camp Dazzle Basketball School will be held July 27 through August 7. The camp is scheduled on the Virginia Western Community College campus, with five-day sessions for boys and girls, age 8-15.

Kent Davison, the Dazzle head coach, will be the camp's primary instructor. Davison reached his 30th year as a coach when the Dazzle completed the National Basketball Development League's second season in March. His experience includes the high school, junior college, NCAA Division I and professional levels.

The camp will feature personal instruction from Davison, who will be joined on the camp staff by Dazzle Assistant Coach Mike Brown, selected Dazzle players and area high school coaches.

The boys' camp is scheduled July 27- 31. The girls' camp is set August 3-7. Both are Sunday-Thursday schedules, with morning, afternoon and night sessions scheduled Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Lunch and dinner will be available (at a reasonable cost to campers) those days.

Campers will be grouped by age, with one coach/instructor per 10 campers. The camp program emphasis will be on offensive and defensive drills and team games. An athletic trainer will be provided for all sessions.

Tuition is $130 per camper. Each camper will receive a Camp Dazzle Basketball School T-shirt, a basketball, a completed player evaluation skills form, a certificate of participation and a ticket to Camp Dazzle Reunion Night during the Dazzle's 2003-04 NBDL season.
