Lone Star Brahmas News Release

As the old saying goes "the cream rises to the top" and that was never more evident than with Lone Star Brahmas forward Sebastian Vidmar. For the third time in four weeks Vidmar has earned recognition as the NAHL Easton South Division Player of the Week.

Can a Forward of the Month award be far behind?

This past weekend Vidmar added five points to his growing resume as the Lone Star Brahmas swept the visiting Odessa Jackalopes. In Friday's raucous 5 - 2 win, the big forward from Malmo Sweden had a hat trick scoring in each period. In the first he had a power play goal late in the period. His second period goal came via the power play as well at 14:07. He finished off the hat trick at 6:04 of the third.

On Saturday, playing in front of nearly 2200 fans for the Brahmas Pink in the Rink night, he chipped in two points in the 6 - 3 victory. His first point came with a secondary assist on a power play goal in the first stanza. Vidmar closed out the scoring for the night with an unassisted short handed goal at 8:47 of the third.

Vidmar now has 18 points in 13 games on 13G - 5A and is a +8. His 13 goals and 5 game winning goals leads the NAHL in those categories. There have been only four games so far this season in which Vidmar has not notched a point.

The Brahmas are off this coming weekend, but will resume their campaign on November 7th when they host league leading Topeka Roadrunners for the first game of a two game set.
