Fresno Grizzlies News Release
FRESNO, Calif. - Tom Seaver will be unable to attend the 52nd Anniversary Hot Stove Gala as previously announced due to a scheduling conflict, the Fresno Grizzlies announced today. The following statement was issued by Grizzlies Managing General Partner and Team President Chris Cummings regarding Tom Seaver.
"We, along with our fans, will miss having Tom Seaver at our Hot Stove dinner in 2013 as originally scheduled. We apologize to any guests who were expecting to see the Hall of Famer back in Fresno. We know he was excited to return to his hometown and see friends from the community. He was also honored to be invited as a guest speaker to the event. The 52nd Anniversary Hot Stove Gala will go on with an outstanding lineup of guests, but we hope to have Mr. Seaver attend a Hot Stove dinner in the near future."
Additional details regarding the Hot Stove Gala, such as additional guest speakers, will be available shortly.
