THU Feb. 9 SEALS @ Columbus 7:30 p.m. Columbus Civic Center Florida returns to Columbus for the second time this road trip. The Seals have struggled versus the Cottonmouths this season more than any other team in the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL). After early wins in the head-to-head series the Seals are looking to get back on the winning track against the defending champions. The Snakes have won the last four contests, and have won all three meetings in Georgia this season.

FRI Feb. 10 SEALS @ Knoxville 7:30 p.m. Knoxville Civic Center The Seals will finish their short week against the league's first place team. This will be the third trip to the Knoxville Civic Center this season, and the Seals will look for their first win in the building. Florida continues to struggle on the road like most teams in the SPHL, winning only five of their first 17 games away from the Silver Spurs Arena. Knoxville is the only team in the SPHL to have a winning record away from home ice.

LAST WEEK: THU Feb. 2 SEALS @ Fayetteville (5-4 OT WIN) 7:30 p.m. Crown Center

The Florida Seals ended their three game losing streak with a 5-4 overtime victory Thursday night in Fayetteville. Steve Zoryk led the way with a shorthanded goal and the overtime winner.

The Seals held a one goal lead much of the third period. Fayetteville was awarded a late power play chance and Nick Kormanyos put a rebound goal past Seals goalie Terry Denike to tie the game with less than two minutes remaining.

Florida made quick work of the FireAntz in the extra session. Zoryk kept the puck in the zone and caught the home team on a line change. Florida had a two-on-one break as Rob Sich joined the rush. The Seals captain passed the puck to the rookie who took the initial shot which was saved, and Zoryk finished the job with the rebound goal.

Sich had a big night offensively, grabbing three assists in the winning effort. Craig Miller, John Gurskis and Justin Keller also added goals to propel the Seals to victory.

FRI Feb. 3 SEALS @ Fayetteville (3-1 loss) 7:30 p.m. Crown Center

The Florida Seals looked opposite from the team that showed up on Thursday night in the Crown Center. The Fayetteville FireAntz beat the Seals 3-1, as the Seals have now dropped three of their last four games.

Fayetteville took advantage of four power plays in the first period. Dean Jackson and Mark Phenow each scored on the man advantage giving the ‘Antz and Glenn Ridler all the help they needed.

Jackson added a rebound goal in the second period to the finish his big night. Scott Corbett registered an assist on each of the Fayetteville goals.

The Seals took the shutout away from Ridler with just 3.8 seconds to go. Ryan Rivard moved the puck to Rob Sich who took the shot that was saved by Ridler. Dominick Dawes picked up the rebound and pushed it past the FireAntz goalie giving the Seals their lone goal of the night. SEALS TIDBITS: - Pre-order tickets through the Seals office for any March home game and you will receive the same number of free tickets for "Fan Appreciation Night" on Mar. 18.

- Sat. Feb. 18-"BUS TRIP TO JACKSONVILLE"-The Florida Seals are sponsoring a bus trip to watch the Seals take on Jacksonville. The bus leaves the Super Target parking lot off of Conroy Road at 1pm. For one low price of $30 (season ticket holders) or $35 per person you receive a game ticket, transportation and a fun time had by all.

- Fri. Mar. 3-"SCOUT NIGHT"-The Seals will hold their final "Scout Night" of the season. All Boy, Cub and Girl Scouts will be invited to the Silver Spurs for the night. Scouts and their families will receive highly discounted tickets and a patch to commemorate the night. Contact your Scout leader to get the order form.

- Fri. Mar. 3-"KIDS NIGHT OUT"-The monthly event returns as the Seals return to the Silver Spurs Arena. All Osceola County students will be given vouchers from their schools good for a free ticket with paying adult.

- Fri. Mar. 3-"COMFORT INN FOAM FINGER NIGHT"-The first 1,000 fans through the Arena doors will get their very own Comfort Inn/Florida Seals #1 Foam Finger.

- Sat. Mar. 4-"PACK THE HOUSE FOR CHARITY"-A portion of all sales for the game against Columbus will be donated to various local charities. In addition former Buffalo Bills legend Thurman Thomas will be on hand signing autographs.

- Sat. Mar. 4-"GUARANTEED WIN NIGHT"-The Seals are guaranteeing a win to all their fans. If the Seals fail to win against the Cottonmouths, each fan will receive one free ticket to the following home game on Mar. 14.

- Tue. Mar. 14-"TWO FOR TUESDAY"-Florida will host their final "Two For Tuesday" promotion this season. Fans can come out and get two tickets for the price of one when the Seals host Fayetteville.

- Thu. Mar. 16-"THIRSTY THURSDAY"-Cheap beer is the name of the game on this night. Fans can drink responsibly for $1 during the game.

- Thu. Mar. 16-"BIKE NIGHT"-Every fan that rides their motorcycle to the game will get a free game ticket. Inside the arena different bikes will be on display. Contact the Seals office if you would like your bike displayed in the arena or on the ice.

- Fri. Mar. 17-"ST. PATRICK'S DAY PARTY"-The Seals O'Seals will have a yee old good time on St. Patrick's Day. Fans can catch special fun all night long and there are sure to be a few surprises along the way. In addition, Florida will hold their final specialty jersey auction. You can bid on the special St. Patrick's Day jersey throughout the game in the main lobby.

- Fri Mar. 17-"SEALS SHAMROCK PIN NIGHT"-The Seals will give away Florida Seals Shamrock Pins to the first 500 fans through the gate.

- Sat. Mar. 18-"FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT"-The Florida Seals will honor you, the fan on the final home game of the year. The night will feature many things to show the loyal Seals fans how much we appreciate the support you have given us throughout this year and years past.

- WEEKEND BROADCAST SCHEDULE-Thursday's game in Columbus can be heard on Talk Radio 1190 WAMT and on the web at www.1190wamt.com. Friday night the Seals will be broadcast on Sports Radio 1080 WHOO and on the web at www.espnflorida.com. Both games start at 7:30 pm with Adam Minnick's pre-game show beginning at 7:15 pm.

SEALS IN THE COMMUNITY - Mondays and Tuesdays during the month of February the Seals will practice at the Space Coast Ice Plex. The Seals are scheduled to be on the ice at 10am. Please note that this is tentative and the Coach may cancel practice at his discretion. All practices at the Space Coast Ice Plex are open to the public.

TEAM NOTES: - Florida has been called for a league low 231 minors. - The Seals have been the best defensive team in the third period only giving up 38 goals. - Defensively the Seals are only allowing 3.18 goals against, tops in the SPHL.

STANDOUTS: - STEVE ZORYK remains one behind the league lead for goals with 26. - ROB SICH leads all rookies with 13 goals.

SEALS PLAYERS OF THE WEEK: - ROB SICH-The Seals rookie continues to shine in his first year. Sich registered four assists in the two games against Fayetteville last week. The Windsor, Ont. native continues to lead all rookies with 13 goals and is third in points with 26.
