Florida Seals News Release
Tom Kotsopoulos of the Miami Manatees had the only goal of the shootout, lifting the Miami Manatees to a 4-3 victory over the Orlando Seals Friday night at Miami Arena. The Seals were only 1:06 away from winning the game in regulation time.
Trevor Socholotuk banked in a shot off Seals goatlender David Goverde's left leg for the tying goal at 18:54 of the third period. That gave Miami its first tie of the night as the Seals had earlier goals from Jason Elders, B.J. Stephens and Brad Federenko.
Orlando also had two great chances to win the game in overtime, as both Elders and Joe Pecoraro had shots hit the goal post. The Seals and Manatees meet again Tuesday night at TD Waterhouse Centre at 7:05.
