Sea Dawgs Win = Home Court Advantage for Championship Game

In front of a very enthusiastic crowd, the Wilmington Sea Dawgs pulled out a very exciting win against the Savannah Wildcats by a score of 101-89.

The Wildcats fast break offense maintained a slight advantage throughout the first half and took a five point lead into the locker room.

The Sea Dawgs came out slow in the third quarter. Not happy with what he saw, Head Coach Dale Kuhl pulled all five players off the court. The new lineup went to work resulting in an 18 - 4 run and the Sea Dawgs never looked back.

The Wildcats pulled within six points mid way through the fourth quarter. But a few key turnovers later and the Sea Dawgs finished strong, thus clinching the number one seed in the Continental Basketball League (CBL) championship game.

The CBL Championship Game will be played at the Cape Fear Community College Schwartz Center on Sunday, June 27th at 6:05 p.m. The Sea Dawgs will once again be playing the Savannah Wildcats.

Those season pass holders will be able to attend the game free of charge. Regular ticket prices will apply. Tickets will be on sale at the door starting at 5:00 p.m.
