Sea Bears Seek Bounce-Back Win In Home Matchup With Bandits
June 21, 2023 - Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL)
Winnipeg Sea Bears News Release
The Vancouver Bandits (+102) - winners of three straight - hit the road to take on the Winnipeg Sea Bears (-143) from Canada Life Centre on Wednesday at 7 p.m. CT.
It'll be the third of four matchups between Vancouver and Winnipeg this season, with the Sea Bears currently holding the advantage having won both of those previous games.
Winnipeg's second unit outscored Vancouver's by 45 points through those two games, and it was Jelani Watson-Gayle who led the way for the Sea Bears. The guard is averaging 17 points on 50 per cent shooting against the Bandits while knocking down a combined eight triples along the way.
If Winnipeg emerges with the victory, they'll tie things up with Calgary for top spot in the West. A Vancouver win could see them move up at least one spot and just a game back of first place.
