
Screaming Eagles Sign John Michael Walsh

Sydney - Screaming Eagles General Manager Pierre Roux announced today that the team has signed Westmount native John Michael Walsh.
Walsh started the season with the Glace Bay Junior Miners of the Nova Scotia Junior B Hockey league after being among the last cuts at the Screaming Eagles training camp last month.
The 18-year old defensemen played 10 games with the Screaming Eagles last season and also played 28 games with the Pictou County Crushers of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League.
Walsh, 6-0, 175 pounds, is a product of the Cape Breton Tradesmen of the Nova Scotia Major Midget Hockey League. He was drafted by the Screaming Eagles in the 12th round, 189th overall, in the 2011 QMJHL draft.
The Screaming Eagles play their next home game Wednesday night at 7pm against the Sherbrooke Phoenix.
