Toronto Rock News Release
Oakville, ON - Toronto Rock Owner, President and GM Jamie Dawick has announced that defender Scott Johnston has been moved to the Injured Reserve - Second Level and forward Kevin Ross has been placed on the Active Roster in time for tonight's game against the Saskatchewan Rush.
The transactions are pending league approval.
Johnston just finished a 10-day stay on the IR - First Level with an upper body injury, but just moments after scoring a goal in last night's 11-9 loss to the Rush, Johnston was injured on an innocent looking play. The veteran Rock defender was unable to return and will not play this evening due to a lower body injury and will now begin a minimum 24-day stint on the Injured Reserve.
Ross last played in the Rock's March 13th 9-6 win over Vancouver, but failed to record a point. He will be available to play tonight and is with the team in Saskatoon.
Tonight's game will be broadcast live on Rogers TV Toronto, joined in progress following the Oshawa General OHL playoff game on Rogers TV Durham and on delay at 11 p.m. on Rogers TV Peel.
Toronto Rock Season Tickets, the Upper Bowl Season Pass, Flex Packs, Single Game Tickets and Group Tickets are also on sale now. For more information about Toronto Rock tickets, please contact our account executives at 416-596-3075 or visit www.torontorock.com.
