Cleveland Force News Release
CLEVELAND, OHIO- Cleveland Force defender Mark Schulte is spending his fourth outdoor season with the A-League Minnesota Thunder in the Central Division of the Western Conference. The 25-year-old from Brecksville, Ohio, made his Major Indoor Soccer League (MISL) debut this past season with the Force and contributed two points. He has helped his current team jump off to a 2-1-0 start in the A-League. The Thunder currently hold second place in the Central Division, just behind the Cincinnati Riverhawks. In recent league action, Schulte recorded the only assist in a 1:0 victory over the El Paso Patriots on April 25th. He set up teammate Marshall Morehead in the first half for the only tally of the contest.
In other A-League news, midfielder Steve Klein, whose rights were acquired by the Force in a trade with Harrisburg this season, is playing on the first place Charleston Battery in the Southeast Division of the Eastern Conference. In two seasons with the Harrisburg Heat, the Nashville, Tennessee native amassed 129 points in 76 games played. Klein's current team, the Battery, is off to an impressive 4-0-1 start and owns the best record of any team in the A-League. Klein contributed in recent action with an assist versus the Virginia Beach Mariners on May 3rd. Teammate Josh Henderson met Klein's sharply played cross and drilled it past the goalkeeper. The goal lead to a 3:1 victory, keeping the team unbeaten on the season.
