Schneider, six others sign agreements with PrairieThunder

Veteran defenseman Tim Schneider is among seven players, who have been added to the Bloomington PrairieThunder preseason roster for the upcoming International Hockey League season, coach Jarrod Skalde announced Wednesday.
Other players added to the roster are defensemen Riccardo Rigamonti, Volodymyr Dashko and Peter Drikos; forward Jim Stussy along with goaltenders Pierre-Olivier Girouard and Justin Grant.
Schneider ranks third all-time in games played with the PrairieThunder at 116 over two seasons. The 30-year-old has played in 302 games during his five-year career. He has scored 12 goals with 29 assists for 41 points and amassed 250 penalty minutes during his professional career between the SPHL, United Hockey League and IHL.
The 6-foot-3, 235-pound Devil's Lake, N.D., native has four goals, five assists, nine points and 114 minutes in penalties in two seasons with the PrairieThunder. He had two assists and 54 penalty minutes in 75 games last season.
Rigamonti, 25, has played professionally for four seasons in Switzerland, logging action in 158 games. The 6-foot, 180-pounder has scored six goals with 21 assists for 27 points to go along with 86 penalty minutes.
The 28-year-old Stussy played 25 games in the MAHL last year, scoring 14 goals while adding 13 assists for 27 points. The Beaver Falls, Pa., native stands 6-2 and weighs 200 pounds.
Dashko, Drikos, Girouard and Grant are among seven players on the roster who have never played at the professional level. Others are defensemen Anthony Potoschnik and Adam Tomkow along with goaltender Ryan Ludzik.
The PrairieThunder has 26 players on its preseason roster with training camp beginning Oct. 6. Skalde expects to sign a few more players prior to the start of camp. Bloomington opens the season Oct. 17 at home against Flint at U.S. Cellular Coliseum at 7:05 p.m.
"We are still in negotiations with a few players, including some veterans, who are weighing their options," said Skalde. "
