
Schaumburg Still Can't Get Bats Going

Kansas City, KS - The Flyers (9-12, 40-29) managed just one run Saturday night as they fell 7-1 to the Kansas City T-Bones. Schaumburg starter Matt Bailie faced nine batters in the third inning with Kansas City (10-11, 32-37) putting four runs on the board in the third. The T-Bones added another in the fourth and two more in the seventh.
In four innings of work, Bailie allowed five runs, three of them earned and took his third loss.
Only four batters had hits against T-Bone pitching. Rob Marconi had two hits and scored the Flyers' only run. Ben Van Iderstine's only hit drove Marconi home in the eighth. Sandy Almonte and Rob Watson each contributed a hit.
Kansas City starter Larry Robles improved to 4-3 with the win and allowed just three hits. Schaumburg had two more hits and scored their run off KC reliever Jaime Jones.
Blake Williams and Hank Woodman hook up in game four of the series tomorrow at 5:05.
