
Savor the Lions' Historic MLS Debut with Week-Long Spree

ORLANDO - February 27, 2015 - Nine days separate the City Beautiful from its Major League Soccer (MLS) debut. Orlando City Soccer Club invites supporters to savor in this historic moment for a week-long spree with the team throughout Orlando.
"We want to make this a true citywide celebration," said Orlando City Founder and President Phil Rawlins. "Each day we'll host a unique event that builds the momentum toward our season opening kickoff. We look forward to seeing all of our supporters alongside us throughout the next week."
Orlando City will host several events leading up to March 8 as part of Operation #FillTheBowl, including:
- Soccer and the City - On Tuesday, March 3, Orlando City players take to the runway for a night of fashion and cocktails, to unveil City's away kit, and dance off to Macy's gear at Church Street Exchange starting at 6 p.m. General admission starts at $50 with VIP access at $150. Proceeds from the event benefit the Orlando City Foundation.
- Purple Pride 5K - On Thursday, March 5, we encourage supporters to meet us on N. Eola Drive and E. Washington Street for a City run. Tickets are $30 through February 28 and will increase to $35 on March 1. Tickets include one free Heineken drink, Orlando City magnet and a t-shirt.
- Soccer Under the Stars - On Friday, March 6, a free night of soccer movies, popcorn, food trucks and games will be provided for the whole family at the Amphitheater at Lake Eola starting at 6:30 p.m.
- Orlando City Pub Crawl - On Saturday, March 7, supporters can join three different street parties hosted by Official City Pubs starting on Church Street at 3 p.m. Parties include Elixir Street Party at 4:30 p.m., Wall Street Party at 6 p.m. and after party concert with Reggae and Rock band PASSAFIRE at 8 p.m. Tickets include entry into the after party concert.
