Savannah Sand Gnats News Release
SAVANNAH, Ga. - The Savannah Sand Gnats will welcome hair stylists from around the Southeast as they host a drive to benefit Locks of Love on Sunday, August 27, as the team plays the Rome Braves at 2:05 p.m.
Stylists will be on hand to give free hair cuts to fans willing to donate their clippings to Locks of Love, and those making a donation of 10 or more inches will receive free admission to the game. The fan making the longest donation will also receive a special prize package.
Locks of Love is a non-profit organization that provides hairpieces to underprivileged children suffering from long-term hair loss. Locks of Love requires a 10-inch donation to make its hairpieces, but accepts shorter gifts which it sells to other organizations.
