San Rafael Pacifics News Release

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. - San Rafael Pacifics players Maikel Jova and Logan Odom have been named the Player of the Month and Pitcher of the Month, respectively, for July by the Pacific Association of Professional Baseball.

Jova, last season's North American League MVP, hit .349 (38-for-109) in 26 games. The Cuban native drove in 24 RBIs and scored 12 runs. For the season, the right fielder is hitting .320 with three home runs and 50 RBIs.

Odom was dominant in the month of July, posting a microscopic .70 ERA. The Pacifics won all five of Odom's starts as the hard-throwing righty recorded four wins and improved to 7-0. He lowered his season ERA to a Pacific Association-best 1.70. He has not allowed a run in his last three starts and went at least six and a third innings in each start in July, including a complete game one-hitter versus the East Bay Lumberjacks on July 23. He struck out 33 in the month, bringing his total to 73.

The duo joins teammamtes Kyle Dhanani and Tyler Pearson, who each took home the awards in June.

The Pacifics continue their homestand on Thursday, August 1 at 7:05 p.m. versus the Santa Rosa Rose Buds. Tickets are available at www.pacificsbaseball.com.
