San Jose Giants News Release
San Jose, CA- The San Jose Giants have unveiled a number of improvements to Municipal Stadium designed to enhance the fan experience at the ballpark. Municipal Stadium has been a place for families to gather and watch professional baseball for 73 years and it has served as the home for San Francisco Giants prospects since 1988.
Upon entering the ballpark, fans will notice changes to both the right and left field seating areas. The organization transformed the left field seating area into the City National Futures Club and Patio. This exciting, new group space features a bar, multiple televisions for fans to take in local sports action, patio seating, bean bag toss, couches and more. Groups of 75 to 250 can enjoy this space throughout the season while watching future San Francisco Giants take the field. Wheelchair accessible seating was also moved down the left field line, closer to Turkey Mike's BBQ, and now includes an awning that will provide shade for fans on the deck. Additionally, extra bleacher seating was added along the right field line and fans will benefit from expanded concessions in this area.
In addition, the San Jose Giants are excited to announce fast and efficient Revel point of sale systems have been implemented in all food and merchandise areas for the 2015 season. These new systems will allow fans to more quickly and easily complete their purchases inside the ballpark
"As an organization, we were very aggressive this offseason in our plans to upgrade many aspects of Municipal Stadium," said Daniel Orum, San Jose Giants President and CEO. "We are incredibly excited about the enhancements and new features of our stadium. We take pride in trying to provide the best experience in all of Minor League Baseball and with our offseason improvements everyone from individual fans to large groups will be able to better enjoy all that the ballpark has to offer."
During the offseason, the organization also reinvested in aspects of the field and clubhouses as San Jose Giants players will benefit from updated clubhouse showers in addition to an upgraded playing surface.
