San Jose Giants Playoffs Begin at Municipal Stadium Wednesday, September 9

San Jose, CA- The San Jose Giants begin their march towards a 12th California League Championship on Wednesday, September 9 at Municipal Stadium with first pitch scheduled for 7:00 PM. After earning a Wild Card spot and clinching their eleventh playoff berth in 12 years, the Giants will host Game 1 of their best-of-three Mini-Series with the Stockton Ports. The two teams will then play at Banner Island Ballpark in Stockton for Game 2 and, if necessary, Game 3.
If San Jose advances, they will take on the Visalia Rawhide in the North Division Finals beginning on Saturday, September 12. In this best-of five series, Visalia would host San Jose for Game 1 and Game 2 by virtue of winning the first half. Game 3 and, if necessary, Game 4 would take place at 7:00 PM in San Jose on Monday, September 14 and Tuesday, September 15. If necessary, the teams would then return to Visalia for a decisive Game 5.
Three victories over the Rawhide would place the Giants in the best-of-five Championship Series against the South Division Champion. Game 1 and Game 2 would take place in Southern California on Thursday, September 17 and on Friday, September 18. Game 3 (7:00 PM) and, if necessary, Game 4 (5:00 PM) and Game 5 (7:00 PM) would take place at Municipal Stadium from September 19 through September 21.
Seats for all 2015 San Jose Giants playoff games are available now. The first 1,500 fans through the gates at the San Jose Giants first two playoff games will receive clappers courtesy of TiVo.
