SAN JOSE, CA- The San Jose Giants finished the 2009 regular season with the most wins in franchise history and look to continue their momentum into the second round of the California League Playoffs. San Jose earned a first round bye for winning the first-half and will play the winner of the Bakersfield -Modesto mini series. The Giants 93-47 record was second in all of Minor League Baseball and they will open the Division Series from Municipal Stadium Saturday. There are many exciting promotions and events planned to help Giants fans catch playoff fever.

Promotions and Special Events:

VTA T-Shirt Giveaway: The Giants open the playoff schedule Saturday, September 12th and will be giving away special Andy Skeels Commemorative T-Shirts to the first 1,000 fans. Each shirt will feature a quote from Manager Andy Skeels on the back. Show up early and show your spirit. The t-shirt giveaway is sponsored by VTA.

OSH Merchant Night: Saturday, September 12th is the post-season version of Orchard Supply Hardware Merchant Night. Fans can pick up free admission tickets at participating OSH stores one week prior to select game. Tickets are available on a first come, first serve basis, while quantities last.

Martinelli's Kids Run the Bases: Following the conclusion of every Saturday and Sunday San Jose Giants game, kids will be invited down onto the field to run the bases, courtesy of Martinelli's Apple Juice.

VTA Clapper Giveaway: The first 1,500 fans to enter Municipal Stadium on Sunday, September 13th will receive clappers to help cheer on the Giants as they continue the Division Series. Clapper giveaway courtesy of VTA.

State Farm Night: Sunday, September 13th is State Farm Night. Fans can visit your local State Farm agent to receive complimentary tickets to Sunday's San Jose Giants game.

Alliance Credit Union Kids Eat Free: Every Sunday home game is Alliance Credit Union Kids Eat Free Sunday. Fans can cut out the Kids Eat Free coupon from the Mercury News and redeem it at the San Jose Giants Box Office. For every youth ticket purchased fans will receive a free hot dog and soda. Fans must present the coupon at the time of purchase. The offer allows for only one ticket per coupon.

Upper Reserved - $13

General Admission - $10

General Admission Youth/Senior - $7

General Admission tickets are NOT assigned seating. They are on a first come first serve basis in the stadium grandstand and bleachers.

Throughout the playoffs, single game tickets will be available at the Box Office and over the phone at (408) 297-1435 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and Saturdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Tickets are also available online at www.sjgiants.com.
