Giants Begin Three-Game Series At Stockton Tonight... The San Jose Giants begin a six-game road trip this evening with the first of three straight contests against the Stockton Ports at Banner Island Ballpark. San Jose was swept by the visiting Bakersfield Blaze in their most recent series suffering losses of 7-5 on Wednesday, 7-4 in 12 innings on Thursday and 10-4 last night. In yesterday's contest, the Blaze scored eight unanswered runs to finish the game, including five runs over the last two innings, en route to the victory. Jarrett Parker was 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBI's to lead the Giants offensively while Ricky Oropesa and Carter Jurica added two hits apiece. Starting pitcher Jack Snodgrass suffered the loss after yielding five runs (four earned) on seven hits over seven innings. The San Jose bullpen combined to allow five runs on five hits with six walks over the last two innings of the game.

Season-High Six-Game Losing Streak... The Giants have lost a season-high six consecutive games after a winless 0-6 homestand that concluded last night. San Jose began the homestand by getting swept in a three- game series by the Visalia Rawhide before dropping three straight to the Blaze. Prior to the current losing streak, the Giants had won five out of six and were 18-6 in their previous 24 contests. San Jose is hitting .220 as a team while they've posted a 5.43 ERA during the streak.

Division Lead At A Half-Game... San Jose (32-23) enters this evening's contest with a 1/2 game lead over the Bakersfield Blaze (31-23) for the top spot in the first half North Division race. Including tonight, the Giants have 15 games remaining in the first half. San Jose has led or had a share of the division lead for all but four days this season. The Giants have won a California League record seven consecutive first half North Division titles (2005-2011). First half division winners clinch a playoff berth and a first round bye. After sweeping the Blaze in a series that ended last Saturday, San Jose owned a 5 1/2 game lead in the standings. The Giants were last not in first place on April 29 (14-11 record).

Duvall's Offensive Surge... Third baseman Adam Duvall is batting .398 (33-for-83) with four doubles, seven home runs and 19 RBI's over his last 20 games. All seven of the home runs have come in his last 15 games. Duvall's 11 home runs overall lead the Giants and are tied for fourth in the California League. Over the 20-game stretch, he's raised his season batting average from .190 to .275.

One-Run Success... The Giants are a league-best 13-5 in one-run games this season. San Jose had won their last eight one-run games until suffering a 2-1, 10-inning loss last Sunday to the Visalia Rawhide.

Panik Extends Hit Streak To 11 Games... Shortstop Joe Panik extended his season-high hit streak to 11 games yesterday. During the hit streak, Panik is batting at a .306 clip (15-for-49) with four doubles, one triple, one home run and nine RBI's. The former first round draft pick is batting .260 overall this season with a team-leading 15 doubles.

Back-To-Back Winning Months... The Giants completed May with an 18-11 record after posting a 14-11 mark in April. Adam Duvall was San Jose's top hitter in May with a .340 batting average, eight home runs and 22 RBI's in 27 games.

Giants-Ports Season Series... The Giants are 5-1 against the Stockton Ports this season sweeping a three-game set at Municipal Stadium from May 1-3 before taking two of three at Banner Island Ballpark from May 20-22. Ryan Lollis (.429, 6-for-14, HR, 3 RBI) and Chris Lofton (. 409, 9-for-22) have been San Jose's top hitters against Stockton this season.

Welcome Back... Relief pitchers Drew Bowlin (5 G, 2-0, 1.69 ERA) and Josh Osich (8 G, 0-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 SV) were both activated from the disabled list today. Bowlin (bicep) last pitched on April 17 while Osich's (elbow) most recent appearance came on April 29. Left-handed reliever Mitchell Beacom has also joined the club from Extended Spring Training today. Pitchers Hector Correa and Edward Concepcion along with 1B/DH Luke Anders have each been placed on the disabled list over the last two days.

Scoring First... The Giants are 21-4 (.840) when scoring first in a game compared to 11-19 (.367) when the opponent scores first.

Opponent Notes: Stockton Ports... The Stockton Ports, an affiliate of the Oakland Athletics, enter tonight's action in last place in the North Division with a 19-35 record - 12 1/2 games behind the Giants for the top spot. Since suffering a 16-game losing streak from April 29-May 15, the Ports have gone 8-8. Stockton is tied for sixth in the California League in batting average (.259) and sixth in ERA (4.37). Third baseman Miles Head leads the league with a .379 batting average and is tied for fourth with 11 home runs.
