San Jose Giants Host Fundraising Workshop On March 23rd

SAN JOSE, CA- The San Jose Giants have announced that they will be hosting their first ever Fundraising Workshop on Tuesday, March 23rd at the Pruneyard Plaza Hotel in Campbell. The event is designed for organizations to learn about the San Jose Giants fundraising opportunities. The workshop is free of charge and all non-profits, schools and youth sports organizations that are interested in raising funds for the upcoming spring and summer are encouraged to attend.
"The San Jose Giants realize that in today's economic climate, organizations need to find new and cost effective ways to fundraise," said Jim Weyermann, San Jose Giants President and CEO. "The San Jose Giants fundraising programs are a great way for local non-profit and sports teams to raise money while enjoying a great night out at the ballpark."
The San Jose Giants have a long history in raising much needed funds for youth sports organizations, schools and other non-profits serving the community. During the 2009 season, the team raised over $300,000 for youth sports in the region and $100,000 for non-profit organizations.
The workshop is scheduled to begin at 6:30 PM and will run until 7:15 PM. While admission is free, seating is limited and organizations are encouraged to RSVP by contacting San Jose Giants Director of Sales Taylor Haynes at (408) 297-1435 ext. 22 or via email at TaylorHaynes@sjgiants.com.
The Pruneyard Plaza Hotel is located at 1995 South Bascom Avenue in Campbell.
The San Jose Giants open their defense of the California League title on Thursday, April 8th at Modesto. The home opener at Municipal Stadium is scheduled for Monday, April 12th against the Visalia Rawhide. The Opening Night Extravaganza will include a post-game fireworks display, the championship ring ceremony, 2010 magnet schedule giveaway, the return of Gigante and much more.
