San Jose Giants 2016 Military Trading Card Set Nominations Open

San Jose, CA- Today the San Jose Giants announced and opened nominations for their third Military Trading Card Set, presented by Operation: Care and Comfort. The trading card set will again be made up entirely from fan nominations of current or former members of the military. Nominations will be accepted through Monday, February 29. All submissions must be accompanied by a photo of the nominee, in military uniform, sent to info@sjgiants.com. The sets will be given to the first 1,000 fans in attendance at the San Jose Giants Fifth Annual Salute to the Military Night on Saturday, April 9.

Former trading card sets included honorees from every branch of the military as well as a number of notable honorees: Hall of Famer and former San Francisco Giant, the "Say Hey Kid" Willie Mays, courageous war hero and local NFL athlete Pat Tillman, founder of the Lone Survivor Foundation Marcus Luttrell as well as the late Joe Bell, local hero turned national news story. The San Jose Giants Fifth Annual Salute to the Military Night on April 9 will be part of the team's 2016 opening homestand.
