
San Diego Sol Offers Basketball Hopefuls a Chance to Play

San Diego CA, September 28, 2011 - - As San Diego Sol prepares for a second victorious season, the team invites athletes to join them on October 2, 2011 to tryout for a coveted spot on the Sol roster.
The American Basketball (ABA)- affiliated professional team had an unforgettable debut season, boasting a* *21-3 record and becoming * *Southern California Divisional Champions. Sol's unique brand of lightning-fast moves on the court and commitment to a clean game made them a fan favorite. With several players on loan to international professional teams this season, a few coveted spots are available for exceptional players who have what it takes to shine.
"This upcoming season will build on the success we enjoyed last winter. We intend to bring San Diego basketball to the highest level possible which starts with selecting the most talented players from tryouts," says team co-owner, Tony Allen.
Tryouts will take place at SportsCenter at Alliant from 9 a.m. to 12 noon; attendees should arrive at 8:30 a.m. for check-in and warm up. Registration is $75 in advance and $100 at the door and includes a jersey.
