San Diego Sol News Release
St. Petersburg, FL - The San Diego Sol men's basketball team bounced-back from a disappointing loss against the Jacksonville Giants on Monday and won a crucial game, defeating the North Dallas Vandals, 80 - 70, in semi-final action Tuesday night at the ABA Final Four Championships in St. Petersburg, Florida.
The semi-final round is a double-elimination, round robin series. North Dallas lost its game Tuesday against the number one ranked South Carolina Warriors. Three teams remain in the tournament with a chance to be crowned the ABA National Champion this weekend.
"We picked a bad time to play our worst game of the season on Monday, so it's good that we came away with a win in this game," said Sol head coach Zack Jones. "We started to get back into it a little bit tonight."
Thursday, San Diego will play the loser of the Jacksonville/South Carolina game. The two winners will play a 3-game series beginning Saturday.
