San Diego Seals News Release
Got milk? The San Diego Seals sure do.
On Thursday, Seals' assistant captain and forward Wes Berg, as well as goalkeeper Chris Origlieri, donated over 200 gallons of milk to the San Diego Food Bank in partnership with Hollandia Dairy as part of the Gallons for Goals campaign.
Beginning earlier this year, Hollandia Dairy committed to donating six gallons of milk to the San Diego Food Bank for every goal that the Seals scored at home, including playoff games played at Pechanga Arena San Diego. The campaign saw a great deal of success, with 131 goals turning into a whopping 786 gallons of milk to be donated.
The Seals took an initial trip to the San Diego Food Bank in May, bringing with them 504 gallons. The remaining 282 were donated on the 27th of October.
The Seals and Hollandia are dedicated to giving back to the community and promoting an active, healthy lifestyle. Interested in following in their footsteps? Visit sandiegofoodbank.org to learn more about different ways that you can help.
