San Diego Riptide News Release
This week are the final practices for the San Diego Riptide before they play their 2003 season finale Friday, July 25 at the Sports Arena vs. the Green Bay Blizzard. Kickoff is slated for 7:30pm. Below is a list of times for Riptide practices for their final week of 2003. All practices are at the San Diego Sports Arena located at 3500 Sports Arena Blvd. and are open to the public and media. Bring your cameras for photos and Sharpies for autographs before, during and after practice!
Monday: 6:00-7:00pm
Tuesday: 6:30-8:30
Wednesday: 6:30-8:30 pm
Thursday: 6:30-8:30 pm
Friday: GAME DAY - kickoff at 7:30pm vs. Green Bay
Tickets can purchased at any TicketMaster location, by calling 619.220.TIXS, online at ticketmaster.com or through sandiegoriptide.com or by at the Riptide offices by calling 866.RIPTIDE.
All active U.S. Military can purchase up to four Terrace-level tickets to this and all remaining Riptide home games for $5 a piece. Military Appreciation tickets can ONLY be purchased at the San Diego Sports Arena with your Military identification.
At 4pm before the Blizzard game, the Riptide will be hosting their Inaugural Ultimate Military Challenge which will pit the United States Armed Forces against each other in a friendly battle for military supremacy in a ten-event contest that epitomizes teamwork, unity, strength, accuracy and appearance.
The ten events are:
Push-ups (timed)
Pull-ups
Bench Press (225 pounds)
Show Off Your Guns
Rock Wall Climb (timed)
40-yard Dash (timed)
Football Accuracy Throw
Tug-of-War
Branch With Largest Attendance
Best Military Presence

The Riptide conclude their 2003 season this Friday night when the Green Bay Blizzard come to town. The Riptide look to avenge their 53-43 loss to the Blizzard back on June 7 that game Green Bay their first franchise win. San Diego looks to win their first game ever in the month of July as they are an overall 0-5 in the seventh month.
