
San Diego Mojo Host Three of the Final Four Home Matches at Viejas

The San Diego Mojo and Omaha Supernovas will meet for the fourth time this season and final time during the regular season on Tuesday at Viejas Arena with firs serve set for 7 p.m. PT . The Novas topped the Mojo in a five-set thriller last Saturday in Nebraska to take a 2-1 lead in the series. San Diego topped Omaha the last time the squads met in Viejas, capturing the win in four sets on April 2.

San Diego Mojo Outlook
San Diego has won four of their last six matches, but dropped their last match in Omaha, falling to the Novas in five sets. Temi Thomas-Ailara was one of four Mojo players to tally double-digit points with a match-high 24 kills and one block to go with 10 digs, while scoring on 24-of-54 swings (44 percent). Ali Batianelli scored 15 points with eight kills and a match-high seven blocks, and Kendra Dahlke scored 11 points on nine kills and two blocks. Willow Johnson, in her first match with the Mojo, scored 10 points with nine kills and one block. Setter Nootsara Tomkom dished out 53 assists and had 19 digs and Shara Venegas had 17 digs with five assists. Tomkom ranks second in the Pro Volleyball Federation with an average of 10.9 assists per set, one of only four players averaging double-digits, while her 666 total assists are the fourth-most in the league. Thomas-Ailara is averaging a team-leading 16.0 points per match, the fifth-best mark in the league, while Ronika Stone (9.9) and Lindsey Vander Weide (8.1) rank 15th and 22nd in the PVF, respectively. Hannah Tapp leads the Mojo in spike ration (.430) and has 24 block wins while Stone ranks second with a spike ration of .403 and tops the team with 33 block wins, the 12th-most in the league.
Omaha Supernovas Outlook
Led by interim head coach Laura "Bird" Kuhn, Omaha sports the second-best overall (12-6) and road (5-3) records in the league. The Supernovas have lost their last two road matches, including the April 2 matchup against the Mojo in San Diego. Brooke Nuneviller paces the Omaha squad with 13.4 points per match, the ninth-best average in the league, while Bethania de la Cruz is scoring 13.0 points per match, the 10th-highest average in the PVF. Sydney Hilley (471 assists) and Natalia Valentin-Anderson (315 assists) are the primary setters for the Supernovas.
