San Antonio FC Unveils SAFC Community Soccer Network
March 30, 2017 - United Soccer League Championship (USL)
San Antonio FC News Release
SAN ANTONIO, TX - San Antonio FC today has unveiled the SAFC Community Soccer Network - a newly-launched initiative designed to strengthen engagement between the professional club and the local soccer community, featuring 19 current youth clubs and organizations throughout the South Texas area.
Created to further connect the overall landscape of soccer in San Antonio, the SAFC Community Soccer Network and its members will work together to raise awareness of San Antonio FC, and to recognize and reward the program members actively supporting the city's professional soccer club. Amongst the benefits provided by San Antonio FC to its SAFC Community Soccer Network members are the display of the members' jerseys in Toyota Field, free website hosting for each club with enhanced capabilities and graphics, and fundraising opportunities via the member's group ticket sales to SAFC home games.
"As a professional soccer club, we possess a unique platform to support, engage, and showcase the youth clubs and grassroots organizations that play such a key role in the popularity of our sport in San Antonio," said SAFC Managing Director Tim Holt. "The establishment of the SAFC Community Soccer Network enables Our Club to officially recognize and reward program members by enhancing the services and offerings they provide. We are grateful to this initial group of local soccer organizations and their leaders for collaborating with us on this program."
Each member of the SAFC Community Soccer Network will also take part in the "adopt-a-player" program, which pairs a San Antonio FC professional player to each member of the network. Players will make monthly appearances and actively engage through other ongoing initiatives and programs.
By purchasing SAFC season tickets for the 2017 season, members of the SAFC Community Soccer Network will also have a private "chalk talk" with a member of the SAFC coaching staff among other exciting benefits.
