
USL Discipline Report Week 1
March 30, 2017 - United Soccer League Championship (USL) News Release
TAMPA, Fla. - The following is the USL's discipline report for Week 1 of the 2017 United Soccer League season:
OKC Energy FC midfielder Jose Barril has been suspended for one match following his two cautions and subsequent ejection during OKC's 3-1 loss to the Swope Park Rangers this past Saturday. Barril will miss this Saturday's road game against Colorado Springs Switchbacks FC, and he will be fined an undisclosed amount.
Among suspensions carried over from the 2016 USL season, the Charlotte Independence's Jun Davidson and Enzo Martinez are suspended for Saturday's season opener against the visiting Charleston Battery. Charleston's O'Brian Woodbine has two games remaining on his suspension assessed this past season and will be out this Saturday and on April 8 against the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.
Additional carryover suspensions assessed during the 2016 season include the following registered players: Louisville City FC's Sean Reynolds (suspended Thursday against Orlando City B and on April 8 against the Richmond Kickers); Pittsburgh's Danny Earls (out Saturday against FC Cincinnati and April 8 against Charleston); Toronto FC II's Mitchell Taintor (out Saturday against the Tampa Bay Rowdies).
The LA Galaxy II's Robert Castellanos is serving the second and final game of a suspension Saturday against San Antonio FC (assessed by another federation).
