Quotes:

Head Coach Alen Marcina

(On the loss...)

"Although tonight's result is not what we hoped for, I'm proud of the guys' efforts and resilience in times of adversity. The first 10 minutes were extremely difficult. We'll learn and grow from this experience. Now it's about learning, putting this behind us and our sole focus on the grind of the regular season and having a great display in front of our fans against Las Vegas.

(On the different lineup...)

"We got the opportunity to play our young players who work incredibly hard in training and have earned these minutes, and we felt when they came on, they brought a lot of energy and fight and I'm proud of them. All in all, we'll learn and put this behind us, and our sole focus is on the league now."

Goalkeeper Kendall McIntosh

(On the loss...)

"It was obviously not the way we wanted it go. I think that in so many ways, each one of us can and should be better. I think that moving forward we have to come together and really defend for our lives, attack for our lives and put our hearts out there, put our pride out there and make sure something like this doesn't happen. I think that this weekend we're going to bring the fight, and that's all we can do."

(On the bouncing back in a short week...)

"It's just about having a short memory. Games like these, if you dwell on them, they can hurt for a while, but for us, it's all about the bounce back. I think that each one of us is going to be extraordinarily motivated to show that this is not who we are and to prove to ourselves, the league and everybody around that's watching that we can dominate this league, and we can be the players that we believe we are. I think come Saturday, we're going to have the right energy, the right mentality, and we're just going to push and give everything."
