Quotes:
Head Coach Alen Marcina
(On the draw...)
"I think it was a very positive performance. We controlled the tempo of the game. We got into key spaces on the field that we trained for, and we created enough opportunities to win the game. Our pressing actions were very, very good. I believe Pablo [Sisniega] had to only make one routine save, so when you limit a team like OC, one of the top teams in the league, limit their chances and at the same time create the number of chances we did, it's very positive."
(On building momentum with the performance...)
"I told the guys in the locker room that it was a very good performance. We controlled the game against one of the top teams in the league. We did a lot of good things. We have to keep this attacking resilience we preach in training. I remember last year we went through a little drought of goals, and then we ended up being the league in most goals scored, so I'm confident in this group. Once the floodgates open, the goals will come. We got to keep doing the right things, and tonight was a very good performance, so we'll build on it."
Goalkeeper Pablo Sisniega
(On the draw...)
"Obviously, this was a great opportunity to kind of get to avenge that loss against Vegas. I think that the tie wasn't necessarily what we're looking for. We really wanted to come in and give the fans a win, but I think it's still a step in the right direction. We just have to keep working, and I think, once the goals start to come, we'll get more results as well, so it's just a matter of time."
(On his second clean sheet of the season...)
"Yeah, I think it was a good performance by the team. I think that we can see our principles coming into play, which have to be a little bit more lethal in the final third, but defensively, it was a very strong performance. I think the guys in front of me did a great job, and I didn't have a lot to do today."
(On heading on the road the next two weeks...)
"I think it's gonna be a good test for us. We haven't gotten our first away win yet, so I think it's a nice challenge to go out and and get that first one. We play Hartford next week, which is obviously artificial grass. It's a tough place to play, so I think that it's a good opportunity for us to kind of keep moving in the right direction to get that first away win."
Defender Kendall Burks
(On holding Orange County scoreless...)
"I mean, it shows that we can compete with the best teams in the in the league so far. Orange County's had a great start, and obviously it shows that in the table. They're at the top of the table, so anytime you play a top three team, you want to keep them off the scoresheet as best you can, and tonight we did that."
(On Trova Boni's first start in the back line...)
"Yeah, it sounds cliche, but it's true. It's next man up. You have to be ready and stay ready, and Boni has shown that in training. I think a lot of the guys trust him obviously, and I thought he played really, really well tonight. Won his duels and won his battles, so he slides in nicely, and I don't think we skipped a beat."
