San Antonio FC News Release
At a glance...
Defend 210: Toyota Field has become a fortress over the last few seasons, often toted as one of the toughest places to play in the league. San Antonio is 20-2-15 at home over the past two regular seasons. In 2023, SAFC had just one loss at home the whole year, as the offense bagged 34 goals over the course of the season with a +14 goal differential.
Crunch Time: Early in the season, San Antonio has proven it's not a team to count out. Five of SAFC's eight goals this season have come in the 75th minute or later, with three of those being game-tying or game-winning scores.
Golden Guy: The reigning USL Championship Golden Playmaker has picked up right where he left off last season. Four matches into the year, Jorge Hernandez leads the league in assists (3), chances created (16) and crosses (51). The midfielder secured SAFC's first Player of the Month nomination after a hot start in March that saw him earn two Team of the Week honors. Hernandez is tied for second in all-time assist leaders for the club at 13, trailing Justin Dhillon with 17. Last year, he led the league with 10 assists, setting a new SAFC single-season record, and was fifth in the league with 52 chances created.
