San Antonio Commanders News Release
SAN ANTONIO - The Alliance of American Football's San Antonio Commanders have announced Sinclair Broadcast Group - San Antonio as its official television partner.
The agreement makes KMYS The CW35 San Antonio the television home of the Commanders for all games not selected as part of The Alliance's national television agreements. The number of games, which will include both home and road contests, is to be determined due to the ongoing negotiations of national television rights.
"We are fortunate to have Sinclair San Antonio and The CW35 as our official television partner," said San Antonio Commanders team president Vic Gregovits. "Their commitment to both football and the greater San Antonio area is unmatched and we look forward to bringing an excellent viewing experience to our fans across South Texas"
"We are very excited to work with the Commanders and the new Alliance of American Football," stated Sinclair San Antonio general manager, Dean Radla. "Sports has always been important programming to FOX 29, News 4, CW35 and our viewers ... we offer more sports than any other broadcasters in the market. The opportunity to be associated with such a quality product and the return of professional football to San Antonio, is a great opportunity for our CW station!"
In addition to the game broadcast, The CW35 will produce a 30-minute pregame show for each game airing on the station.
Also included in the agreement are regular Commanders appearances on Sinclair's FOX 29 and News 4 San Antonio's, Daytime with Kimberly and Esteban and San Antonio Living, respectively, along with community outreach appearance opportunities.
